Helping Brands Grow In So Many Words

About

To this day, the hardest question I’ve ever had to answer is, “Where are you from?”

I’m California Cool, Minnesota Nice, Connecticut Confident & Arizona Wild.

More About me:

“They” say that the best way to get to know someone is to learn about their favorite thing — so let me tell you about a few of mine.

1. Live Music

The only thing better than live music is FREE live music. I’ve had some pretty cool jobs in my life. I’ve worked as a production assistant on short films and music videos, as a camera operator for a sports television show, and as a copywriter for some of the world’s biggest brands. But the coolest (or raddest) job I’ve ever had, wasn’t even a “job.” It was an internship with an alt-rock radio station in Phoenix, AZ, where my only payment was free admission to concerts around the valley. We’re talking the Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Damian Marley, 311 and a bunch of other amazing artists that would make Wayne and Garth jealous. It was such a sweet gig that I had to stick around for a second semester.

2. Sketch Comedy

Without it, I’d live in a van down by the river. When it comes to writing, sketch comedy is my first love. While a few of my college professors told me I should consider a career as a journalist, I never really LOVED writing. That is until I started writing comedy sketches. After decades of watching comedy shows like Monty Python, SNL and Chappelle’s Show, I started to create my own stories and characters in my head. And when I finally started to let them out onto the page, I realized just how fun writing (and more importantly, storytelling) could be. I haven’t put the pen down since.

3. Mafia Movies

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved a good gangster flick. I mean, who doesn’t? The Godfather, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, The Town. You can find all of these films in my dusty DVD collection. And while my goal of writing the next great American mafia movie is still a work in progress, I have been able to work a few references to my favorite films into my copy.
